Rockwell's Singapore lighthouse plant runs AI from classic ML to agentic systems

IndustryWeek profiles Rockwell's Singapore lighthouse plant, where AI deployments range from long-established machine learning to newer agentic AI systems. This is a vendor's own showcase site, and the coverage's summary reports no outcome figures.

Even a vendor showcase plant runs conventional ML alongside agents. Ask which layer produced a result before you fund the agentic one.

Quality

Merck and Adlib: pharma teams spend 30 days per agency question, mostly on documents

At the Industrial AI Summit 2026, Adlib Software's Kristen Sauter and Merck's Adam Procopio said a pharma regulatory response team can spend 30 days on a single agency question, with most of that time spent finding documents. They tied the delay to how contract manufacturers' electronic batch records are handled.

Fix record retrieval before buying an AI audit layer. If a regulator question takes weeks, the bottleneck is documents, not models.

Quality

Industrial AI for quality starts with process stability, not prediction

A Control Global feature argues that stable operations, dynamic centerlining and a trusted data foundation are the critical first step toward AI-driven quality optimization, ahead of any predictive model.

If your line drifts shift to shift, a quality-prediction pilot will learn the noise. Centerline first, then model.

Workforce

US CPG makers run AI at multiple sites yet lose 20% of revenue to inefficiency

Over half of U.S. CPG manufacturers have deployed AI across multiple sites, nearly double the global average, and 99% are confident it will deliver ROI by 2030. They also lose 20% of revenue to production inefficiencies, about five points worse than global. The figures come via Schneider Electric, a vendor.

Wide deployment hasn't closed a 20% efficiency gap. Measure your AI sites against that line before scaling to more.

NVIDIA Isaac ROS 5.0 adds agentic workflows for robotics developers

NVIDIA released Isaac ROS 5.0, adding agentic workflows and broader platform support to help developers deploy robotics applications faster. This is a developer-tooling launch; no deployment results are reported.

Relevant to integrators building on ROS, not yet to plant buyers. Ask your integrator whether it shortens commissioning, and by how much.
